The 10th Asymmetric Threat Symposium, titled What Does It Take to Protect America? Combatting Asymmetric Threats, brought together leaders from a cross-section of military, government, industry, and academia to address these questions, providing insight and considerations to help chart the way forward.

Keynote Speakers

Admiral John M. Richardson
Admiral John M. Richardson is the Chief of Naval Operations of the United States Navy. Adm. Richardson previously served as Commander, Naval Submarine Forces, and Director of Naval Reactors; Commodore of Submarine Development Squadron (DEVRON) 12; Commander, Submarine Group 8; Commander, Submarine Allied Naval Forces South; Deputy Commander, U.S. 6th Fleet; Chief of Staff, U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa. In his role as the Director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, he was responsible for the command and operation of the Navy's nuclear propulsion program and for all deployed U.S. naval reactors for usage and their supporting facilities.



General Stephen W. Wilson
General Stephen W. Wilson is the Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. Gen. Wilson is former Commander, Eighth Air Force (Air Forces Strategic) and Joint Functional Component Commander for Global Strike, U.S. Strategic Command. He has had multiple flying tours, and led operations including bomber; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; mobility; aeromedical evacuation; and airborne command and control supporting Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. Prior to his current assignment, the general was Deputy Commander, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
